Within each grouping there are other breakdowns such as belt width (3.5″, 3”, 2”, 1.75”, 1.5”) & belt pitch expressed in millimeters (14mm, 11mm, 8mm). Generally speaking, the wider the belt & higher the pitch value will handle the most power from your motor.
